Nobodies: kairi and Namine

OK so they told us that Roxas was Sora's nobody. i get that, after all at the end of the KH we saw Sora turned into a Heartless, and they explained all that mess later on. But what about Namine and Kairi? they didn't really tell us that Namine was Kairi's nobody till the end when we saw them become one, but if that was the case wouldn't Kairi have been in a strange sleep state like Sora was before he and Roxas became one again? Then they're telling us about the others before hand. Like Axel, I know some of his backstory and I am not the person to spill beans but, are all the 13 going to be former Keybalde wielders? This just seems a little off to me. Like their trying to cover their butts or something. Maybe it was all written out and planned, I dunno but it feels thrown together in places.
